Hi

Does anyone know whether the food & service in Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre is better or Grand Copthorne Waterfront? Thks in advance.

signed up with grand copthorne last sunday! :) will keep u posted on the service, but so far so good. but the perks for the package abit hard to nego.

I was told Grand Cop food is good. I am also deciding between either HIOCC or GC. Am happy to read that Koreafighter says HI food is the best. HIOCC ballroom definitely prettier but with pillars and certain part of the room has low ceiling, GC pillar-less but simple looking ballroom. I don't like both their reception area but price is close to my budget. If you are me, what one will you choose?

Koreafighter, why do you say Holiday Inn the best? When did you last attended the wedding there? Pls share ... cant wait to read your reply.

HIOCC has got pillars, but they substitute this with more than 4 screens for the guests to see, which is perfect. They have live screening when you march-in to the ballroom.

Went for wedding banquet for HI in Oct and GC in Nov.. Food wise both nice... Service wise HI was rather poor: slow and have to call the waitress a few times to get drinks, in a hurry to clear our plates towards the end, 1 projector screen not working so we cannot see what was happening on stage as we were seated behind a pillar at the side with lower ceiling.. Personally prefer GC because of the high ceiling and the glass lited backdrop..

Went to Holiday Inn Orchard ballroom is nth impressive as compared to GC. IMO, the reception area outside Holiday Inn was rather small & i went to their bridal suite. Me & HTB was appalled for the size of their bridal suite at HI. Extremely small!! I like GC with high ceiling & glass lited backdrop unfortuntately they are fully booked on 23rd March 13 :(
