Hi, I need to seek your answers and expertises on the following.

Let's assume the cards are provided by the hotel free, how much does it cost to print:

Q1) A wedding card with all words printed onto the card itself? (without insert)

Q2) A wedding card with an insert? (all words are printed on the insert)

Pls provide me the answers (amount range) for both Qns and where to find a cheap & reliable printer in Singapore.

Pls kindly advise. Many thanks!

hi poshberries, i am not quite sure of how much does it cost to print onto the card itself. as for printing on the inserts, i heard that the price is about 40cents a piece but if you go to jb, city square, to print it, it is cheaper. if you want to find printing shops only in singapore, you can go bras basah complex. there are many printing shops there.

hi poshberries, are you looking for the basic kind of printing, or fancy ones? if you're connected with a hotel, they will usually have a list for you to choose from, which they have collaborations and possibly discounts with. generally, the simple basic printing of inserts cost ~40-60cents a piece. not sure about printing on the card itself. As princesscrystal mentioned, printing in JB is way cheaper, and it's pretty reliable (not much can go wrong, as compared to doing other things there). alternatively, if you intend to print on inserts, you can actually consider printing the inserts yourself, with your printing at home. it's way cheaper buying paper and printing yourself. only thing is you will have to cut the paper yourself into the appropriate size (usually half of an A4), and you're limited by your printer, which usually cannot print silver and gold. If you really want color, you can even consider those art shops.. you can print with normal ink, then when it's still wet, you can make embosses!! really cool. is alot of work if you have alot of pple, but will look even nicer than printing at a normal shop, and costs minimal amounts! :D

Hi Poshberries

I am currently doing some research on the printing company for my inserts and I came across a fully coloured with photographs and wordings (English & Chinese Text) as well as map on 1 card back and front, it cost only SGD$1.20 with envelope.

That was my friend's wedding this year Jan11 and she have it designed in JB T&T @ City Square.

They drafted in an hour and delivered in 1 week time.

As for local, the ink printing and hot stamping on inserts may varies ...
- normal printing 1st 200 pcs is $100.00 subsequent is $0.20 each etc (excluding maps)

But of course, I think map is not necessary for Singaporeans ... most of them got iPhone etc ...

JB wud definitely be cheaper compared to printing in Singapore...i think when the hotel provides the cards, you have to confirm if it's just the hard card that they are providing or does it include the printing of the inserts coz some hotels do cover the costs for the printing of the inserts so the couple only has to pay for the gold thread (which you tie around the outside card to keep the insert inside. some use glue but can be quite messy).
i think there's a shop at peninsula plaza that does alot of printing of cards for hotels which maybe you can check out oso..?

I think maps would be good to have, especially for the relatives / elderly. They might be less familiar with getting around, and might not know how to use GPS / iphone etc.. so having a map would be more friendly :)

I had mine done from bridal handicraft . http://www.bridalhandicraft.com/ . for me, customer service is important rather than just plain cheap and they respond promptly. i worried if the cards are too cheap because there are a lot of knock off.
their cards seems authentic and good quality . LOVE IT :)
