Ahhh!! Beautiful & Romantic Venice. Saw a PRC couple taking wedding photos here. Freezing & the bride was wearing a gown that didn't cover the shoulders.

Italian art - magnifico!!! (magnificent).

More art......

Having a steak in Firenze (some call it Florentine or Florence), district of Tuscany. It was yum! We had a super big bowl of soup before this. I was stuffed like a Christmas turkey by the time it ended.

Shops at Firenze.

Calm waters at the river in Firenze.......

DSC00354.jpg

Oooohhhhh! I feel so romantic here.....

DSC00369.jpg

What the freak! Rowing along the river under freezing temperatures - he's definitely nuts!

More art at the churches in Firenze. If you are not into the oldie stuff, you would not enjoy this. Lots of them around.

Police on horse. Looks imposing & stylish.

DSC00491.jpg

Like the dressing of the Police there - very stylish. Beats all the other countries.

Nice soup in a cold weather. Love the bread - so crispy....was dreaming of my keropok and imagined the bread to be keropok and the pasta after that as "bak chor mee" :)

hope you brides enjoyed the pics! overall we had a great time, the scenery was very romantic. italy is a perfect place for pre-wedding photoshoot or honeymoon. :D

Wow.. very nice pics. Did you do any extensions to other part of Europe? We have been wanting to go Italy and France for our honeymoon this Oct but most travel agency dont provide package for just two countries. We may need to do extension for paris ourselves.. Can I know how much you paid for your trip?

hi antz, thanks! :D total was about almost $10k all in. This trip was to Italy only.

Actually most tour agencies offer packages which span the entire Europe hahaha. my cousins went for that kind, cross country group tour in Europe. They said it's not so good because it's very tiring. Basically you travel to one country, stop at a landmark and have lunch there, then take train to another country and the cycle repeats. You don't get to enjoy the many places fully. so that's y we went for Italy package only. imo it's a better option to enjoy a place well for 1 wk, then move on to another location. :)

if it's 2 countries only, probably will need to extend with another package. but logistics wise im not sure how they will handle it since you will be in Italy and moving on to France from there. :D

how many days did you spend in italy?? The 10k is per person or for both??
The trip is a package tour or self planned?

hi aquila, thank you! :D yes it is very beautiful, if you take pre-wedding photoshoots there they will turn out very romantic looking. I've seen friends' photos which were taking there and they look stunning, esp after photography effects. :)

We spent 10 days there, 10k for both persons. :) The trip is package tour, imo go tour is better because the people there don't really speak English and it's going to be tough to communicate with them, so the tour guide helps. :D Thinking of going to Italy for honeymoon? :)

thanks summersnow for the gorgeous pictures! I'm sure you had loads of fun! must be a veyr memorable journey. was the tour rushed? I was thinking of doing something free n easy for my honeymoon, so that we can really enjoy ourselves. BUt italy is one of the places in the potential list, for we were in europe when we got together and italy was one of our favourite stops. Want to cover more of italy if we can. :) 10k is really steep though.. i suspect it is because you went on packaged tour and i'm sure you stayed in 4-5* hotels. =P i might consider spending 10k, but free and easy, stay cheaper hotels (like backpacker's hostels) and spend an entire month there! =P

looks like fun, to go from Italy to Paris, you can book an internal flight : Air France / KLM will be quite a comfortable flight.

was the tour rushed?

hey rojak, i felt that it was a little rushed, but i guess group tours are like that because you have to wait for everyone. free and easy would be more leisurely. if you can afford to take 1 month's leave, it's a good idea, and a very good sabbatical away from work, especially after all the wedding planning! :D

I really love the pictures you have posted. Sounds like a very wonderful honeymoon you've had. :) 10K for both persons would be something we need to continue to save up!
