Preferred Banquet Venues - Share your tots/experience!

Hi All,

I am planning for my wedding in Oct 2013. Currently have short listed the below hotels and hope you guys can provide your tots on the preferred hotel and your experience if any.

Appreciate lots!

1) Marina Mandarin - Vanda Ballroom
2) Grand Corpthone Waterfront - Waterfront Ballroom
3) Pan Pacific Singapore - Ocean Ballroom (currently under renovation)
4) Marina Bay Sands

Thanks pumpkinpie!! The ballroom is very nice but heard too many bad reviews for their food taste leh..so still reserved about this..

yup i have also heard from a few friends who attended at MBS and mentioned that their food is soso..

My friend held her's at MBS, food was passable, service is average, but the getting there by car or taxi was a nightmare. Massive jam trying to get in to MBS and there weren't enough parking space... MBS has many ballrooms, so if ur's is a popular date, be prepared for late guests..

i've read that vanda ballroom can hold up to 300 people.. reviews also say that the place has a romantic setting and chefs can really prepare good food that can impress your guests.

MBS food wasn't that bad, portions are very big but service is quite poor. Inexperienced staff, look like part timer, shuffling around the ballroom looking lost at times.

Definitely not Furama Riverfront Hotel. I used to be their corporate client, but after they screwed up my wedding, I no longer use them anymore. If you want to have bad service staff towards your guests, food that is so little that your guests go home still hungry, hair in your food, and worst to be serviced by their staff that made empty promise, then go ahead and use this hotel. Wedding is once in a lifetime, I wouldnt take the risk. The sales staff name is Sharo* Cha*. If you are serviced by her, you can u-turn already, because she will say 'she have other events', 'all are paying customers' and 'things are straight-forward'. Exceptionally poor service and attitude and unprofessional at all.

If I recommend, would be Grand Copthorne Waterfront or for lesser budget, Hotel Grand Pacific.
