Bows 2015

Welcome to 2015!

2014 has been a year of growth for us in terms of both personal and work life (one of us is getting married in February!) We tried to push ourselves by trying out new concepts and especially, spending more time with each of our couples. In that process, we spent more time than ever with everyone between the first time we meet a couple and the day of their wedding.

Believe me when I say nothing is more powerful and wondrous than that!

The time spent during that period of time allows us to know more about who we are going to work with and to get comfortable with each other. We discover your quirks and passion, likes and habits. That goes a long way helping us to create visuals that eventually carries that extra little magic that is visible especially to our couples and their friends and family.

We want to continue exploring that with everyone! From today to Sunday, we will be at BOWS2015 and we would like to meet you! Spend a little bit of time with us. We can talk about The Hobbit, coffee, pet peeves, football, Benedict Cumberbatch (only with Kathleen)..and your wedding of course!

Dates: 9 - 11 January 2015
Time: 12noon to 10pm
Venue: Dhoby Ghaut Green (adjacent to Dhoby Ghaut MRT, exit B)

Zen + Min SDE

We all have been part of wedding celebrations for a good few years now. I've been asked on more than a few occasions this question, 'After being part of so many weddings, aren't you bored of it?'

Sure there are days of why-am-I-waking-at-4am-for-this moments, but usually when I get to the bride's place I am always surprised how easy it is for me to hit the ground going. Being around people who are excited about something so early in the morning can be contagious as well. I am happy when people are happy.

Another way I try to shake things up is to challenge and keep things interesting for myself. For Zen + Min's ring shot, I had the luxury of having the rings to myself for a while and finally managed to come up with something rather than the usual static ring shots so look out for it in the video.

Apart from that, they also threw me a challenge: We are having our parents marching in with us, will you be able to put the first march-in into the Same Day Edit?

Challenge accepted!

Eileen + Edwin || What is Love?

I have been wanting to do a different kind of pre-wedding video for a very long time now. While re-enactment concepts has its own fun and different set of skills to put them together (also, not everyone is comfortable acting in front of a camera), I have been very drawn to telling stories of couples from a different approach.

Here comes Eileen and Edwin, who is looking to explore the concept with me! Got to give it to them for their patience during the making of this story and the time we spent together coming up with the idea.

I want to see a time, where your guests sit down at your banquet to watch your wedding video, they WILL be surprised and talk to you about it after your wedding :)

It's amazing how detailed some of the architectures in Europe are. This is a photo of the Golden Hall in Vienna. Awesome place for taking pre wedding photography :D

Prior to the shoot, I scouted locations where Ralph + Regina dated each other. It’s always a lot of fun to do so because I’ll start dreaming of how to place and pose them in frames. The couple loves nature and we were very blessed to have beautiful light on both sunrise and sunset on the same day. When we met to look through the photos, they were very pleased and so was I! The set of photos can be viewed from the following link :D
