Self-planning of Whole solemnization dinner

Since my solemnization has set on 2016, January.
I've start doing my homework & research during Feb 2015 for the estimation of rates for venue rental, catering, florist, venue decor, wedding favors, bridal shoot, concept design of theme.
Everything has been sort out in my whole 2015 planner book (eg. Continous month to make deposit, meeting with managements & sending of proposal etc).

However, will it be too hectic on the solemnisation day itself for me, my partners and my bridemaids to handle everything ourselves?
What do you think we should take note on the day?
I'm just afraid that i'll be too busy handling all the delivery timings, set ups of decor and preparations and entertaining relatives and unable to enjoy the whole process of my solemnization dinner.

Is it more advisable for me to hire a cordinator? But that would also means additional cost to our budget :'(
Any unforeseen circumstances I would need to take note of?

Is a wedding planner really required? Or did most ppl planned with the help of their brothers and sisters?

i'm not sure. I hope the brothers and sisters wouldn't be too busy handling all the stuffs and forget about the fun actually
