Where to buy 916k Gold for 4 Dian Jin or Wedding band?

Hi, anyone has any recommendations to buy 916k for 4 dian jing.
So far the one i feel is trustworthy are:
- Poh Heng
- Heng Heng (AMK Central)
- heard of Chinatown People park Complex 2nd level Jewel shop in the corner, not sure of the name but it said to sell cheap , maybe it did not include GST or workmanship

Currently Gold price is on the rise. Last check on 02 May 11 is like
$73 per gram - 24k (99)
$63 per gram - 22k (916k)

the Chinatown complex do they give certification? no certification I dont really dare to trust. Gold price rose above $1518 few days ago but today it plummented back down to $1488 usd per ounce now. I am also looking around for cheaper jewellery shops to buy from as the well known brands one usually charge much higher.

peoplepark complex 2nd level, chung hwa, no GST and workmanship.Just the weight times the current rate (999 = $71.50 per gram) and still can bargain. just biught. I compare with Poh Heng and Heng Heng (Amk)- same design..everything same weight...alot ppl buy.

I'm not a yellow gold person but I'd to get 4-Dian-Jin cos of the traditions. I obliged and got Disney collections from Poh Heng for my future child since I do not have to wear it on the AD.

i also bought from another store called jin bao, same level in people complex..no GST but got workmanship..den i scout again and saw chung hwa..no GST and no workmanship..save alot...Gold price change ard last fri 6 May

999 Gold = 71.50
916 Gold = 66.50

anyway, i monitor the gold price trend and check the singapore rate now before i buy. It indirectly link to gold price in Singapore as they are pegged to market

i saw one shop online the current gold price is S$54!! i almost fainted.. then keep checking if its real.. its real.. *cries*

My bf bought one abacus that is about 1.5k. 20g.. same day we bought our wedding bands.. my only consolation is that the band i bought is one of a kind.. and if we didnt buy tt day, the couple who was seeing that ring also would have bought it.. hai..

the chung hwa shop ard for 20 yrs..i oso heard fren recommend..alot design..u can go check it out...u bought ur wedding band 999 gold?i saw it but quite plain so didnt get it.
i surprised that many goldsmith, even POh Heng design also sell in chung hwa...well is up to u...i visited 2 times now.

999 or 916 gold can oso kep for investment as gold will never drop in the near future...i rem getting my 916 cross pendant chain ard $30-40 per gram in 2008.

my ring is pound ring.. i bought it at 80% discount.. from 3k drop to 600+ coz got a diamond inside.

is my SO ring is the expensive one.. didnt do homework.. hai.. 10g - 680+ 200 wrkmanship + GST become almost 1k.

my error ..shd be in 68g as that week u bought for 916k
cfm chung hwa is no GSt and No workmanship. u just times the weight of the gold with current market price. u can test the weight.

i wanted a pair of gold ring for us.Mine current is lee hwa, normal 18k rose gold.

between, u saying u bought ur weeding bands , is it gold 916 or 999t ? where u bought?

hmm..u buy wedding band before AD in 2013.

Hi godbirdie , does the jewellery in chung hwa has the hallmark or certified by the Singapore Jewellers Association? meaning the "916" or the "shop stamp". cos I went to heng heng, even the small items(rings) have 3 hallmark. I scared of fake gold lar.

i understand how u felt. if u worried , u can go shops with lionhead marks...what i know at least Jin Bao has no GST..

Hi godbirdie, thanks for your info. I went to Heng Heng, saw 1 ring that is v. nice, but the workmanship is $40 per ring, to me is v.ex. Ban Cheong is quite well known also and the prices is reasonable. They have the lionhead mark too. Maybe i can go to Chinatown and recee.

Any1 heard of Ngee Soon jewellery, they having promo now, no workmanship, got GST. But the gold dun have any hallmark also.

Hi godbirdie,Not bad, no workmanship, gold+GST only. BTW is chung hwa at pp complex L2? can't seem to find jin bao, what is the full shop name?
