Why transferring of my wedding banquet to other couple is not allowed?

Hi All BTB,

I would like to know whether anyone of you have encounter similar situation when there are couple who are keen to take over your wedding banquet and the hotel banquet manager said that transfer is not allowed.
?

I have done a research that there are couple from 'the same hotel' selling too but their package is approved and 'sold' to another couple.

Why is tat so? Is it becos of the resons given is not the same?

Or is it that I must write in again to negotiate or show proof of reports in Straits Time that it's proven that such transfer are allowed? The hotel is not losing revenue as it's only just a change of name tat all....

What's Your hotel? my friend have this similar case..Have to explain to them why you want a transfer. Reasonable reason the hotel will sometimes will accept. I think its negotiable if the transfer is the same date as what you initially choose.

Maybe the contract does not allow it. Does that apply to all hotels?

It may be because the contract does not allow the package to be transferable to another couple.

I guess it's because of the terms presented in the contract. it's not like that for every hotel though. depends on the provisions and terms of the contract.

Some hotels and establishments do not allow the transferring of wedding banquet to other couples. That must be because it is stated in the contract. It depends on the provisions of each hotel regarding this matter.
