We have our pre wedding shoot with Chungdam Studio on 28 May 2015.

I believe you all have saw a lot of their review in this post already. like the others, my review strongly recommend you to look for them if you will like to go korea for your wedding shoot.

They have a good range of wedding dress that you can choose from. You will be able to find one you like.

before I head over to they studio I have read about the good service they provided. yes the service is tip top. apart from the norm, I will like to bring up this specific event. as my wedding is in august(less than 3 months), the usual practice by them is that we will choose our photos like a few weeks later. but due to the rush in time, jamie helped to arrange a slot during our stay in korea to choose the photos for printing so as we can expedite the process. we really feel the extra mile that they are providing cause we did not ask for it. i think this is small like thing that make out shoot with chungdam a happy one. looking through the photos we pretty like the style of it, have problem choosing which to put into the album. the good thing. you get to keep all soft copy.

jamie also provide some good food recommendation during our stay in korea.

just send them an email for their package. I feel that it is very reasonable.

I would also recommend chungdam studio for the pre-wedding photoshoot in korea!

Me and my fiancee had the photoshoot in korea during late april. I would say the whole photoshoot experience was really good. We went down a few days before for gown selection for my fiancee cos we were worried that it would be too rushed on that day itself. But, the auntie who served us knew her wardrobe very well. She had some recommendations that we found suited my fiancee nicely. As a result, the whole selection process took only about 1h plus. Also, they had staff who could communicate in mandarin/english quite decently so no worries about the communcation aspect. We enjoyed the process even on the gown fitting day itself and looked forward to the actual day of shooting.

On the actual day, we went down at around 10am to start the makeup and preparation process. And we also met up with Jamie who would be our co-ordinator cum translator for the day. She is very friendly and quite fluent in english. After about 2h of makeup, we started our photoshoot process. The studio has a wonderful set of beautiful indoor settings, and a rooftop one as well. You can see the sets on their website. They guided us on all the poses required and were very patient. We also got to choose one outdoor location for our package. We chose the soekchon lake, which is just outside the outdoor Lotte World amusement park. A good place with elements of nature, modern and traditional architecture. Along the way, the photographer, Mr Lee Changhoon, would scout around for good views and locations to shoot at the park as we walked along. Overall, a very positive photoshoot experience.

But skills aside, what really touched me was the little gestures that the studio provided for us. As we were shooting the whole day, part of our package actually included a "light snack". I was at first worried as I thought a light snack would mean things like biscuits or something, which wouldn't be enough for us after a whole day of photoshoot. However, Jamie later explained to us that it would be a korean meal takeaway, and also asked us what we would like to eat. Seizing the opportunity, we asked them to recommend some nice korean dishes. I can't remember the name of the dish, but anyway, it was really a full meal complete with soup and rice. Yumz! Both of us enjoyed the food very much.

At the end of the photoshoot, my fiancee had already become close friends with all the staff who have served her. And they have truly made our photoshoot experience in korea a highly enjoyable one. The only thing is that they may tend to be abit slow when processing the photos. So it would be good if you have some buffer time for them. My wedding is in October so I'm not so worried yet. But otherwise, i would highly recommend them to couples who are thinking of a photoshoot in korea. You can check out their website at www.thechungdamstudio.com. For package enquiry, you can contact Jamie at flake7@nate.com. She is usually very prompt with replies.

Hi all,

I would like to share about the experience of having your pre wedding photoshoot in Korea. Just like many of you here, we usually do our research by reading up forums or google “pre wedding photoshoot Korea”. I contacted many agents either based in Singapore or Korea to get the package that I am interested in and of course, within my budget. I decided to go with The Chungdam Studio as it had many good reviews and the backdrops are nice. Moreover, there are some stories about agents gone missing as such I prefer to book directly with the studio. I look up the studio on Facebook and on the Korean search portal to make sure it is genuine.

I booked the indoor and outdoor package with the coordinator, Jamie, a very friendly Korean who can speak English. We liaise through emails as well as whatsapp.

I booked my photoshoot date last Nov although my photoshoot was in April 2015. Jamie contacted me a week or two before our arrival in Seoul to ensure that they prepare my Fiancé’s suit size and my shoe size. I wished she had send me their gown collections earlier (she sent to me on the day of the photoshoot, an hour before the appointment). I am not a fussy bride and had no gown in mind so it is okay.

The whole process is very different as compared to Singapore studios because everything is done on the same day. You will not have time to choose your gowns and try them all. I am the kind that could not be bothered about the gowns and since I didn’t have time to look through them. I just went ahead with their selection since they are the expert. Therefore, I would say their service is very efficient. Their gowns can fit sizes from XS to XL. I think it is because the back is not a zip so it is adjustable.

Make up is very natural, Korean style. They will also ask for your preferences for the makeup and hair styles. I just go with the flow. But I do see other brides ask for certain hairstyles. So you can let them know what you want.

The studio have many different sets. We go from one location to another in the same building. My favourite would be the roof top. Whether it is in the day or night, it is really beautiful. Since taking a photoshoot is very different from our daily snaps, they guided us on all the poses and made us smile more. They were very patient and tried to calm me down as I was very nervous and tensed. It was really sweet of them.

We had our pre wedding photoshoot in April because of the cherry blossoms in Korea. However, it is hard to time so I was deciding between 1st week and 2nd week of April. I chose the latter and it turned out that it bloom earlier this year. Luckily, when we arrived, there were still some cherry blossom trees around. Namsam Park is the second location for cherry blossoms photoshoot. It bloom later than those of Seokchon Lake. Looking at the photos on their website, I would definitely choose the Seokchon lake location. But all the cherry blossoms have fallen. :(
We didn’t know it often rains in April too. According to the weather forecast, it will rain almost the whole week when we were there. We were worried that we could not take any outdoor photoshoot. After all, the reason most of us chose to take pre wedding photoshoot overseas is because of the outdoor shoot. The most important thing to take outdoor shoot is the weather. Having the rooftop scene, the rainy weather will affect the shoot too.

On the day of our photoshoot, it will rain for the whole day according to the weather forecast. When we arrived at the studio, Jamie and her team explained the situation to us and decided to cancel the outdoor shooting. I was really upset, no mood to take photoshoot at the beginning. My fiancé asked them if there is a slight chance that we can still take outdoor scenes and that we really prefer to take outdoor shoot since it is the reason why we chose to take our pre wedding shoot in Korea. Jamie and her team kept checking the weather forecast every hour and in the end, we decided to take a gamble and go ahead with the outdoor shoot during a 1-2 hour time frame where it will stop raining or drizzle a little. It was really cold that day since it was raining occasionally (I think it was 7 Degree Celsius and below). We really appreciate their hard work and gesture for this.

I wish I was less tense so the photos would turn out nicer. Overall, we had a fun and memorable pre wedding shoot experience. Sorry for the lengthy review as I would like to thank Jamie and The Chungdam Studio for this experience.

We didn’t rush them for the original raw photos and edited photos because our wedding date is at the end of the year. If you need them urgently, you may request them to process yours faster.

They also have mandarin speaking staff if you prefer to speak in Mandarin.

Hello everyone,

I back from Korea a month ago from my pre-wedding photoshoot. We have a very limited budget and I hopped that I could find something within our budget ....
Before deciding which one to join, we looked through a few places and did some reseach on it... Finally we joined an agency in Korea which we think it was safer.
I can tell you that my experience was wonderful!! not only the service but the staffs were super nice!! I was able to get the packages within my budget and what's important is I had a lot of things included in my package!

I was able to get some discounted after barganing with them.
That was the package I joined for at 3000SGD at that time.

1. Indoor with free Outdoor Photoshoot ^^' <--- OUTDOOR was important for me. But most places have to add some fee.. Here is free!
2. A 20Pages album
3. 20R frame + korean paper made frame
4. 5R frame + 5R picture
5. Cds (all my pictures + retouching)
7. Bride: 4 dresses + 1 Hanbok Groom:1 Tuxedo + 1 outer jacket + 1 Hanbok
8. Shoes and all accessories were all included
9. Korean style Makeup + Hairstyles
10. A helper
11. Interpreter with us
12. Pick up and drop off service
13. Items delivered back to us
14. A 1 hours skincare course for both of us

Hey miss victoria! Yeah budget is reasonable.
What is important also they don't hard sell and are honest. Don't have any so call 'additional charges'.

I think I forgot to write which agent..

I went for a photoshoot with Chungdam Studio in the beginning of April to catch Cherry Blossom.

I'd like to share with you the good points of ChungDam that can make your decision easier.
1. the original high resolution photos are all given back in a CD (not like studios that will charge more for those).
2. the coordinator Jamie is swift in response, she speaks english fluently and she is always with you throughout the day.
3. There is no hidden cost. The contracts are written in simple english, rather than legal convoluted english. No morning surcharge, no after hours surcharge.
4. They simply know what they are doing and doing in the best that they can do.
5. No need to pay extra for the transportation expenses, airflight from sg to korea and accomodation if alternatively you engage a photographer and makeup artists from sg
6. I also engaged the videographer too and the behind-the-scene video is really fun to watch!
7. Overall, the experience with ChungDam is memorable and fun.

I smiled and even clapped my hands after looking at the albums and photo MV that came today. ChungDam Studio is simply worth it.

The coordinatior contact is Jamie, email address: flake7@nate.com with their website: www.thechungdamstudio.com
Facebook: thechungdamstudio

Okay I would like to share my own experience, first of all I'm Indonesian but we decided that we want to take our pre wedding photoshoot in Korea, so we try to google it and came across to this forum. Since many of this member recommended Chungdam so we try to contact Jamie for the price first, and since IDO wedding join the wedding exhibition in my country so we got their price too and apparently Chungdam offered packages that met my budget so we decided to go with Chungdam.

The funny thing about my experience was that we bought our ticket first because we want to go on vacation to Korea and didn't have the slightest thought about taking a prewedding photo shoot in there. The idea was just pop out in my head and since we went there in April so we decided to spare 1 day to do a prewedding there.
We took the indoor and outdoor combo packages and take the shoot on 17 April. April is the time when the cherry blossom bloom so they were fully booked. Thank God I contacted Jamie on November and there was a slot on our last day in Korea.

The session was a one day session, and Jamie was with us all the time. First of all she will explain it to you about the contract and it was such a simple contract and she speaks English fluently. She will sent you the draft of the contract about 2 weeks before your photo shoot so you can review it first and for me it was clear enough. And she asked us where we want to take our outdoor shoot. At first we want Soekchon Lake but Jamie said that the cherry blossom period has ended and Soekchon was not very nice without it, so she recommend The Olympic Park.

We took the indoor session first, the process was very smooth and nice, Jamie was with us all the time and keep telling us to keep smiling and help directing us. They have several themes in their studio so they took quite a lot of photo in each theme. The Olympic park turns out to be very nice and luckily it was a very nice weather despite the cold at the time after having rain for three days straight before. We also got the chance to try the Hanbok and my girlfriend brought her own gown so she have used 5 gowns + 1 Hanbok. They also provided us with some lunch, a very generous lunch I think.

Today I've received the album and it was wonderful, I also got all the unedited photos and a video slide show. Overall I am very satisfied with the services and the result they provided us, there was no hidden or extra charge, the price is the one that they have told you from the first email.

You can contact Jamie for any inquiry, she is very helpful, her email address is flake7@nate.com and their website is www.thechungdamstudio.com
