No problem! They have other videos too showing diamonds in different lights. Never thought about it this way.
This is another one with their cushion diamond.
Dunno if I should change to cushion or stick to the round.. hmmm.

Went to jannpaul. Now I know why they're so popular here. Their diamond tutorials are very informative and useful. I think one of the most important thing I learnt from them is to avoid those flat number carat size like 1.00ct.. hahaha
I'm thinking of either one of their 2 signature cuts. The Octagon with the arrow patterning or the Octavia with the step cutting. Which shape you guys think is nicer?

I'm torn between the octagon and cushion brellia diamond. The octagon looks more unique and special to me because of the shape and it has 88 facets too. The Brellia is nice and seems more "classic" to me.
Which shape will go better with this kind of ring design?
This is the hearts and arrows photo of the diamonds. I'm expecting them to send me more scope photos of both..

For that design, I'm leaning to the cushion shape one. I think it matches the band design better.. But that's just my own opinion ;p

Design is nice. One thing to consider also is if you will wear the diamond ring and wedding band.. cos when worn together, it will have a diff look

You can try wearing different ring designs on your hand. Sometimes when you wear the ring, it will have different feel.

From what I understanding, first you need to check if the diamond have good proportions. Can use the HCA calculator http://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca
Best is to find one with a score under 1.4
After that, need to use the Ideal and Aset scope to check for light leakages and Hearts/Arrows scope to check for symmetry.
