I wont recommend tiff and co even if you can afford it. It's pretty nonetheless, but one of my friend, who is working in related industry, told me that the quality of the diamond is the same as those u find in Goldheart, Lee Hwa etc. It's only pretty because of the design, or, what we presume to be pretty because of the brand and that pretty tiffany blue box. So it's rather stupid to get one from there (if u are just wondering if the quality of the diamond is better) But for the design wise, yes, tiffany do have really pretty designs! But you can always get a diamond and customized it urself; will be much cheaper.
About diamond, you need to know about the clarity and colour. Clarity means the impurities in the diamond (those lil "black" dots that u see under the magnifier). IMO, i think that the colour is more important than clarity if u are not getting a big one (another smaller than 1 carat. IMO la) Because u wont be able to see the impurities and its not like ppl will look at ur diamond with a magnifier 24/7.
Colour is important to me because I dont want my diamond to look yellowish. I want it bright and sparkling! I think this is pretty obvious because u can see at first glance on whether the diamond is clear or not.
Next, there are the different kind of cuts. Some cuts are more expensive than others, which I dont know why, because they look prettier? But back to the point whereby ur diamond is just normal size, I dont find a point to get those cuts that are more expensive because no one will be able to see it. It will be just a normal diamond ring to anybody.
Anyway, I think the sales person will tell u alot more about it when u are getting one! They are really helpful and those that I've met really give me honest opinion. Not those kind that will ask u to buy the expensive one! Hope it helps
