What I meant is like you see Certificate A, but diamond B is shown at the start.. then after you pay and collect your ring, you will be given Diamond A and Certificate A. So the first diamond which you first saw and later collect, might be different. So need to see the number of the diamond and certificate before you pay.. and then after you collect, see the number and certificate again.

Diamonds have grading for Clarity. If you can spot the "impurity" by naked eyes, it shld be a grading of SI1 or SI2. Your bf shld be told about that and the cert shld have stated the grading as well.

Oh wow, i actually do learn much from you guys heh heh. Thanks Jep! I've been asking for the cert and he always forget. :( think i better keep asking him and see what he says. I mean i dont really mind about the cert and stuff but is like you know girls are quite particular about their engagement ring. Maybe should hint him to get me another pair. haha!

i think the most important thing to consider in buying a diamond is the cut and the color of the diamond. some cuts can look really sophisticated.
