Hi Lynda,

How many tables are you looking for? I'm planning to have 15 so my selection of hotels may be different from yours. Am still in the search though...

Hi Lynda, bear in mind Hilton has ballrooms side by side each other, may be quite noisy during reception, mandarin orchard has two leveled kinda setting, if you are ok with it then is fine.

Hi Eillyn, thanks for the insight. Hilton may face parking issue too. By the way, any other ballroom that you are considering?

I have my wedding at Regent @ Tanglin room. I dun have much issue of marching as I managed to get my MC to ask my guest who are seating at the aisle to push their chair in before we march in. One thing is tat it's a very long aisle...... by the time I march in to the stage my march in song just nice hehehehe. but best of all, all my guest will be able to see us while we walk in :)

Hi Lynda, you can try Mandarin Oriental, but they are quite pricey. Grand Corpthone Waterfront - Galleria Ballroom has the capacity you are looking for too at 1368 nett/ table.

May I know what is your budget/ table?

im a regent btb too! :) we're having it at the grand ballroom...

I am also deciding on regent! :)

To all brides who are considering regent, my friend just held her at tanglin room. It may be a little narrow as it seems but no problem when marching in :)
The decor makes the video turn out very classy!

I've just went down with my hubby few days ago to view the grand ballroom and the bridal suite. Guided by Natalie.
Suite is nice with balcony. Ballroom is big, min. 25 (weekdays) min. 35 (weekend) max. 50.
Big recep area for holding guest prior to banquet. Long aisle for march in (according to Natalie, at least 1min 10+ sec). Nice Theme selections. Can give up to 30% car passes.
However, 1st negative point which I'm not sure applies to every couples consideration.....Their main kitchen is not Halal certified! If you are inviting Muslim friends, food ingredient is all Halal, no pork no lard, if they r particular, Natalie says, you can engaged Muis to cleanse the sitting tables, utensils etc for approx. $600++.
2nd negative point, if you are inviting Malay friend (says 2 couples), and seat them with a table of 6 chinese, that table will still cost you normal per table rate, and plus additional cost for 4 pax of malay food. Meaning, the chinese dishes prep is still prep for 10 pax but consume by 6. So better invite a table full of Malay friend so no extra charges.
