Unhappy about MBS catering and conference manager
I'm extremely upset abt my experience w generally how MBS catering and conference manager handle our wedding.
The unhappiness date from the start of our venue hunting. Firstly, when we emailed to enquire abt the rates and venue details, Jeremy replied us. However on further enquiry if we could visit the venue, there was no reply for a long time. When we called to make an appointment, he wasn't even aware that we were expecting a reply from them. Fine, nvm. Then he said we could go down and meet his colleague on a certain date and said would contact us wrt the timing. On the day itself, nobody called, we had to call him to arrange for a time. He said his colleague could show us around.
After viewing the place, we were pretty pleased with the venue and decided to settle w MBS, but we indicated our preference to have Jeremy's colleague, Jennifer, to be our coordinator.
Thinking that we would not be upset abt the lack of responsibility of the first coordinator, we proceed to make our deposit and to discuss our draft agreement. However, this is a start of a new nightmare. Each time we corresponded via email, we don't receive a reply. Sometimes we wait up to 4 weeks to have one issue settled. We have to call up Jennifer to remind her to check her email and push for a reply. This is not a rare occasion that she missed out our email, because it happens everytime we email her.
Being unhappy with such attitude, we have written an email to her to express our disappointment. She replied and apologized, saying that she would pay attention to such details in future.
Three months later when we want to make another installment for our banquet, history repeats itself. We emailed, one week later we called. Now one week after we called, still no action has been taken to help us make payment.
Great. So now what? So call her boss?
Think MBS is a great venue because it's really quite pretty. Perhaps our puny wedding is not important to them because we are not the people who earn them the most amt of revenue. Of course they would wanna pay more attention to international conferences or some huge company events. Who are we to expect them to pay attention to us?
To conclude. Think thrice before signing up w MBS. Because twice is not enough
