Pre-wedding photography in Korea

Hi all,
We had our pre-wedding photos on 8th September and it was amazing! It was an indoor + outdoor photoshoots.
Our coordinator Jamie was really friendly and helpful. She even recommends us a few restaurants in Seoul.
The dress helper ahjumma was friendly and did a great job for the entire shoot.
The makeup artiste did a great job in portraying natural looks by not exaggerating the makeup style.
We love the ways how they deal with things. Upon receiving our frame, we saw scratches on it and took a photo of it to show Jamie. She mentioned there should be a protection film on it and it not prone to scratches. But without hesitation, Jamie says they will replace a new one and send it to us as soon as possible. Luckily we look through it once more only to find out that there really is a protection film on the frame. Thumb's up for their professionalism!! ^^
Thanks to them for their great job.
We really recommend you to choose Chungdam Studio.

I intend to take up Kohit Wedding's Lavender Studio package.

Compared it to KWedding & Ztage and their package seems the cheapest with more goodies.

May I know if there's any reviews?
It seems to be a newly set up company in Korea by a couple.
A korean man & his hongkong wife.

The consultant Ms Noripy(wife) is very friendly and fast in response too.

FYI:

Ms Noripy : kohitwedding@naver.com

Help needed too! I'm interested in Kohit too as I saw a few posts (actually all by same person Grace :) ) saying that the package is as low as $3k with a handful of perks included. Looked up on their website and the studios offered are similar with Kwedding and others.

Hello all!

If you look back at my previous posts, I was enquiring about Chungdam Studios in this forum and I am glad we signed with them. We recently completed our shoot in Seoul after booking 8 months in advanced. I am writing this testimonial as I am very satisfied with Chungdam studio and they deserve your consideration.

We entered the studio around 10.30am and left around 7pm. We did Indoor and outdoor shoot and everything was so smooth. There is an in-house make up artist/hair stylist, and we also tried different gowns/jacket and decided which to pick.

During the shoot, there is a total of 3 personnel with us:
Jamie: Coordinator, translator, helping us with props and more.

The Photographer: The friendly photographer who taught us many poses for the photos. Drove us to the outdoor shoot location too. It must be tiring for him to shoot for so many hours but he was patient all the way till the end.

Friendly Helper: Very patient and friendly aunt. Always on hand to assist in putting on gowns/jacket, props, carrying items and touching up hairdo.

Jamie did an absolutely wonderful job and service. She was always prompt in answering emails and whatsapp. She will automatically send us details on how to get to the studio and the items to bring without us asking her. During the shoot, we can see that she is busy answering enquries through her mobile phone too. And she also took some photos using her mobile phone during the shoot too and we appreciate that she sent us right after the photoshoot(so we had sort of a preview). You can view our photos on her facebook page(to show that we are genuine): https://www.facebook.com/Jamiejaepill.Kim/posts/906078309475912

After the photoshoot, we went to the office and paid the remaining 75% balance and Chungdam Studio even surprise us with an edited photograph from our earlier shoot! This is such a nice gesture by them. After leaving the studio, Jamie whatsapp us a few must-eat places. Her service is amazing.

P.S: Lunch was great too! I finished everything.

We cannot wait to received the photos for selection and hope it goes smoothly :)

My fiancé and I just recently returned from a trip to Seoul for our prewedding photoshoot with Chungdam Studio.
I chanced upon reviews of Chungdam from this forum and decided to proceed with them due to the many good reviews about them and ease of dealing with the English co-ordinator, Jamie.

As many have said, it was a breeze dealing with Jamie right from the first point of contact. She was very efficient and prompt in responding to all queries on emails as well as on Whatsapp.

Their package was very comprehensive and did not have any other hidden charges. She was very transparent about the additional options/costs in her quote.

We took up the combo package which included both indoor and outdoor shoots. Our outdoor shoot was done in Nami Island (about an hour by car from their studio). We chose Nami Island as it was known for its beautiful autumn foliage.

We decided to pay extra for the dress fitting the day before. Fitting was really quick (less than 2 hours) as Jamie sent over pictures of the bridal gowns prior to my trip. I only tried on dresses that I’ve shortlisted from the pictures she gave me.
We started early on the day of the shoot (at 8 am) as Nami was an hour or so drive away. They have an in-house makeup artist who could speak Chinese. Accompanying us on the trip to Nami was an assistant and two photographers – Mr Yun and Mr Lee (whos also the Director). Jamie had another couple to attend to that day so had Mr Yun go with us instead as he could speak Chinese.

Mr Lee took all our outdoor pics and he was very easy to work with. My fiancé and I dislike taking pictures but Mr Lee made it so easy and carefree that we actually enjoyed the process! It was a challenge to shoot at Nami island due to the amount of tourists there but the view was amazing that it was so worth it!

That day was particularly cold and windy and I was in a mini sleeveless white dress for most of the outdoor session. The assistant was very attentive and made sure to cover me up with a blanket in between scenes.

We did most of our shoots outdoor and returned to their studio after having a late lunch on the way back to Seoul. Mr Yun was in charge of the indoor session. Despite some language barriers (my fiancé couldn’t speak mandarin) everything went by smoothly. Mr Yun was also easy to work with and helped both my fiancé and I through some really awkward poses. Also, their indoor sets are really nice!! Despite being occupied with another couple, Jamie managed to take some shots of us doing our indoor shoot and sent them to us.

We finished around 7ish in the evening and paid the balance of what we owed to Jamie. She patiently explained the process after the shoot and how the album will look like and what to expect.

All in all, we were very satisfied with their level of service provided by Jamie and her team before, during and after our shoot. We would highly recommend Chungdam studio to anyone whos thinking of doing a prewedding shoot in seoul.

You can contact Jamie via her email: flake7@naver.com

You can also view their portfolio at their website: www.thechungdamstudio.com

Hope my review helps!

Pre-Wedding in Seoul by Chungdam Studio
Hi all, I just had my pre-wedding shoot in Seoul one week ago. Muse maker was recommended by my friend. Muse Maker have many different studio packages under them and you can let them know what your budget is and they will give you suggestions. I read forum and saw many good review about Chungdam studio. I look through Chungdam studio photos on their website www.thechungdamstudio.com, and love the studio photos. I contact both and decided on Chungdam Studio. Initially I emailed Jamie at flake7@naver.com to enquire about the package. We follow through by WhatsApp. There are few different price and package that you can choose from. I paid 25% deposit through bank transfer, for the indoor and outdoor shoot. Jamie was nice enough to send me all the current gowns that they have. As I was worried that on the actual day, I may take a longer time to choose. She emailed me the contract once she received my payment.
My package includes: Album + Frame + about 500 original files + 40 edited files in CD (Include delivery to SG) + Translator + Dress Helper + Photographer + Transport for outdoor shoot
Bride: 2 make-ups & hairdo (including ampoules), 2 white gown, 1 evening gown, 1 mini dress, 1 causal wear (own preparation), hanbok (Optional-only for indoor) . Shoes (Depends on your shoes size) and accessories were provided.
Groom: 1 make-up & hairdo, 2 tuxedos, hanbok (Optional-only for indoor). Groom need to prepare own causal wear, black shoes & black socks.

My make-up, hairdo and gown selection was done within 2 hours. I started the make-up from 10.30am (By right 10am), ended at 7.15pm. Outdoor shoot is about 2 hours, the rest is in the studio. There were couples from Hong Kong and Korea shooting on the same day. My Photographer, dress helper and translator (Jamie) are very professional. They tried their best to teach us how to pose and make us smile. I enjoyed the whole process. Photo selection can be done via email, or at the studio. My husband choose to select at the studio, so we went back 2 days later. We were given more than 500 photos (about 1000 if not wrong) to choose from. I love the original photos even before editing. Can’t wait to see my edited photos.

If you are interested, you may email Jamie at flake7@nate.com.

Hi There! Congrats :)! Hope all your pictures will come out perfect! I would like to know more about the hairdo process...I know you get to choose 2 hairdos but 2 hairdos for all 6 outfits? Don't they have to switch it up when you wear hanbok since the traditional hair style is different. Can you provide some input on that? I'm concern that with just 2 hairdos it might not provide much varieties to the photos. Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Cherri

Can you please pm me your package details? Also, any inputs on the hairdos? I'm aware that there's only 2 but do they change it up at all during the photoshoot or just change out the accessories? Also, not sure if you did the handok shots but were the hairdo's redone so it's the traditional hairdo?

Thanks!

hi there..

Yes..they only provide 2 hairdos. For the outdoor shoot, they let down your hair. You will be wearing a white mini dress as well as casual wear for the outdoor shoot. And when you get back to the studio for the indoor shoot, they change your hairstyle to an updo. There will be 2 bridal gowns for the indoor shoot + 1 evening wear and a hanbok. They will not redo your hair for the hanbok. All they will do is change earrings/hair accessories to match each outfit thats all.

Hi btb, first of all, congratulations and may you all be the prettiest bride ever... :)
I just got back from Korea and would like to share my experience with Chungdam studio. Like many couples out there, we read blogs after blogs, reviews after reviews and finally dropped Jamie (our coordinator) a message which she replied instantly, on a sun evening, and sent me the pre wedding package they were offering then. Several message and emails later, we booked our package with Chungdam studio.
There are 3 people with us during the entire photo shoot, Jamie, our coordinator and translator, a lady to help us with the gowns and the photographer. I am not very picky myself, neither is my fiancé, we basically end up letting the experts decide most of the things and everything turn out pretty well. I didn't have much problem with the short gown selection process, I ended up choosing both gowns that Jamie recommended. Similarly with the hair and make up, they asked if I have any preference which I said no, and it turn out well, love it.
The whole team was professional and friendly. The photographer is very serious in every single detail, he is constantly asking Jamie and the lady to line up the gown nicely, tucking in flaws, reminding us to stand nicely, etc. Jamie and the other lady were taking care of us every single minute when the camera is not clicking. Jamie will wrapped me up in a thick blanket and ask us to sit down and rest while the photographer look for a nice spot. I would say they were probably more exhausted than us after the long day.
We received all the photos 3 days after the photoshoot and it is too tough to decide which one to put in as we love them all. To sum it all, the experience with Chungdam studio and Jamie was great. The most important thing during the photoshoot is that all tiny details are taken care by experts and we could relax and enjoy the entire process. If you have any queries, you could reach Jamie at flake7@naver.com

Chungdam Studio in Korea

Hi everyone,

I took a wedding photoshoot package with Chungdam studio. Jamie is the person in charge of this studio. She is a very friendly and nice person. She is also very efficient and promptly reply the email or WhatsApp.

I asked so many agents about the Korea photoshoot package but all are quite expensive except this Chungdam studio. I signed the package with Jamie without any agent involved. Without the agent fee, the package can be cheaper.

The photographer who helped us is very handsome and professional. He will instruct us how to pose and look at where. He can only speak very simple English but no worries that Jamie is a English translator. Jamie is always be there to help photographer translate to English.

The gowns are quite nice and I regret that I didn't pay to choose more nice gowns. In the package got 2 wedding gowns and 1 short dress. But I am willing to pay for more nice gowns and I regret that I didn't do so on the photoshoot day.

Overall, this Chungdam studio is quite a good choice for everyone to choose. If you are interested, you may email to flake7@naver.com or check the website www.thechungdamstudio.com

Hi All,

We had a great experience with Chungdam studio. We had our pre-wedding photoshoot in september. Jamie is the person in charge. She and her team are great and very helpful throughout the photoshoot session. The output of the photo(s) are very nice and looks natural.

We did some research through the internet before we engage Chungdam studio. It is different with others bridal studio, we do not need to pay any agent fees due to we direct engage with them. It just took us 5 to 6 hours to finish our indoor photoshoot as they got all the in-house services like make up, gown fitting and hairdo. Overall it is a great experience to take pre-wedding photoshoot with them.

If you are interested, you may visit to their website or facebook. You also can contact Jamie directly, she is very responsive for all the emails and whatsapps.

Hello everyone.

We just got back from Seoul from our holiday + pre-wedding photoshoot trip and here I would like to share our great experience with the team from Chungdam studio. After doing my research about pre-wedding photography knowing roughly what I want, I contacted Jamie directly to enquire about the package they offer. Looking through what they offer versus what Singapore agents provide, the package Chungdam studio offer simply fits all our needs. We confirmed on the outdoor + indoor package after exchanged some emails with Jamie, who is pretty prompt in replying emails.

Days before the actual shoot, Jamie will text us the directions to the studio. We start the day with makeup and hairdo, followed by gown fitting. Followed by outdoor shoot then head back to studio with indoor shoots. Our photographer, Aidan is very professional and patient in guiding us how to pose, etc. Throughout the day, we were well taken care of by Jamie and her team.

Overall, our experience with Chungdam studio is pleasant and fun. Right now we can't wait to see the results of the photoshoot!

Hi,

I'm interest with Bong Studio as well.

Can u pm me the way to contact them and the package price? my email is yukiko_qq@hotmail.com.

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I joined Bong studio where its call Lavender Studio with Kohit Wedding just few days ago for April next year >VV<
I heard them from facebook and they have a lot of studios but very nice.
As I compared with other agencies who have this studio, I think our package was quite cheap compare to other place.
Hesitated between 2 studios (Poppy Studio was even cheaper but I prefer Bong studio style) , but at the end I joined Bong studio^^

Really looking for my prewedding phtoshoot~
Suggest you go to check with them if you plan to do pre-wedding pictures in korea....

Chungdam Studio!! Great Experience and fantastic team

We have been searching for a pre-wedding photoshoot studio in Korea and was recommended by a friend to Chungdam Studio. We liaised with Ms. Jamie who was extremely friendly and very prompt with her response to our queries. We made the booking a year in advance and was in touch with Jaime constantly before the actual day finally arrived!

We arrived at Chungdam studio early in the morning around 10am and started with the make up session which was all done in 2 hours. The make up artist was really professional and the results is really impressive. Cant thank her enough for the great work done for both myself and my husband. =)

We proceeded with the photoshoot and thankfully, was a breeze and we totally enjoyed ourselves throughout the process. We were really impress with how the team work together without hassle, great team work!! Our photographer was Aiden, very friendly and professional. Aiden guided us on all the poses and making sure he got the right shots before going for the next set. Jamie and her assistant was always ever around be it indoor or outdoor shoot making proper adjustments to our attire and hairdo and assisting Aiden where needed. Thumbs up to the team!

All in all, we really had great time working with Aiden, Jamie and team and it is definitely an unforgettable experience. We cant wait to check out on the photos when it is ready. =D

If you are interested to know more about the package or information, you may wish to contact Jaime directly at flake7@naver.com or visit their website at www.thechungdamstudio.com.
