Pre-wedding photography in Korea

Its awesome to see so many btb here had many good reviews regarding Chungdam Studio which makes me made a right choice to take my pre wedding shoot in Seoul with them few months ago.

I took up the outdoor + indoor shoot as well as topping up a nominal fee to try out the gowns one day before the shoot. IMHO, if btb who do not take a long time choosing gowns, you could do it on the actual day of shooting.

Chungdam Studio might not have the widest range of gowns to choose from but their backdrops and experienced staffs and impeccable services wins other studios hands down.

I'm looking forward to receive my photo album soon!

Do look for the awesome coordinator Ms Jamie at flake7@naver.com and check out their portfolio at www.thechungdamstudio.com should you consider having your pre wedding shoot in Korea (They do shoot in Jeju too!)

I have always wanted to take my pre-wedding photo shoot in one of my favourite country, Korea. I specifically wanted it to be taken during Spring for the obvious reasons such as the Cherry Blossoms and the nice chilly weather. While we were doing our researching, we came across Chungdam Studio shared by many graduated brides in the forums etc. There were massive positive feedback and we were sold :D Of cos we did email enquire many other studios with regards to the package offered and rates, Chungdam Studio rates fits our bill. Email responds were prompt and Jamie the coordinator from the studio were liaising with us from email to whatapps. She patiently cleared our doubts when we have tonnes of queries. Soon we make our decision to sign up with the studio for our Indoor and Outdoor shoot. I also paid extra to go for gown fitting one day prior to the shoot because I was worried that I might take a lot time deciding which gown to pick. Surprisingly, it took me less than an hour to decide. During the changing of gown, a lady (whom we Imo) will assist you changing in and out of the gowns. No awkwardness since they are all experiences ladies. During the shooting day, we were told to come in at 11am. I started off with the makeup and hair styling, and the stylist asked what kind of make-up and hair I wanted. Thankfully, I have a couple of pictures of the hair styles I wanted and I showed it to them. Fret not, they have an album of hair styles to choose from as well. For the make-up, I was rather clueless as I have never put on make-up before. I told the lady to recommend but make me looks sweet. :D I was afraid of looking more mature than my age. Then the groom will get to choose their suits etc. No worries about communication problem because they are able to speak in English and Mandarin. During the shoot, a Mandarin speaking photographer called Yun was assigned to us. He will tell you exactly where to stand and how to pose. We were no models and practically so stiff like 2 blocks of wood. It started off with slight awkwardness and he was really patient with us, guiding us on the angle and position. Imo also tagged along with us wherever we go to help us carry our props, adjust the gown and suit, making sure that our hair, accessories are all in place. Thumbs up for the extremely good service. We had a long day but truly enjoyed the experience. We are also very satisfied with photos taken. Anyone interested can email Jamie at flake7@naver.com and visit their site at www.thechungdamstudio.com

After seeing all the good reviews, we decided to have our pre-wedding photoshoot with Chungdam Studio. Jamie, the coordinator cum translator, was very prompt in replying to our enquiries via email and WhatsApp. We opted for the one day (8 hours) indoor and outdoor photoshoot package in Seoul.

On the actual photoshoot day, we arrived at Chungdam Studio at 10:30am for the makeup and hair styling followed by gowns fitting. The makeup artist and hair stylist were able to converse in Mandarin, so there was no communication barrier. Transport was included in the package for the outdoor shoot (at Seoul Forest). We were caught in a heavy traffic congestion on our way back to the studio. The photographer, Aiden was very patient in giving us a lot of guidance on where to stand and how to pose for the photos. The lady helper who helped me to change into the gowns, tagged along with us wherever we go to ensure that we looked perfect for the photos. We were the last couple to leave the studio, which was around 8:30pm+.

The original raw photos (700+) were received a week later. Most of the photos turned out well and we can’t wait to receive the photo album. Thank you Jamie and the team for such a memorable experience.

Just received our album, big photo frame, and 2 CDs yesterday from Chungdam Studio. The whole process from photo taking to receiving the final products took less than 2 months. Faster than our expectation. The whole team, Aiden ssi, Jamie ssi, Ji-in ssi and Yeonsuk ssi, they made us felt at home despite being in a foreign country. Even the lunch too exceeded our expectation. Like all others before us, we didn't face any language problem, they are able to speak English and Mandarin, that alone already solved a lot of problems.

Thank you Jamie, we are very satisfied with everything.

To all couples that are searching for a studio, we highly recommend The Chungdam Wedding Studio.

Last year, I was searching for a good pre-wedding photography service in Seoul. I have done some research in the forum. After reading a lot of good comments, I and my fiancé decide to choose the Chungdam Studio. They had a promotion for wedding photography package and the price was reasonable. So I directly contact Jamie through the email. Jamie is our coordinator for our shooting package. She was helpful and not pushy to all the questions that I asked. Jamie was very prompt in her replies and she explained to me in detail how the indoor and outdoor shoot is going to be.

We liked their Korean concept wedding photography and the way of settling all gown selection and makeup in one location on the day of the shoot. We really enjoyed ourselves during the photo shoot process and the photographer, Jamie and the helper made the atmosphere a relaxing and fun process. We deeply appreciate all of their efforts. If any of you are interested in taking pre-wedding photos in Korea, I would recommend the Chungdam Studio.

My financé and I recently took our pre-wedding photo shoot at the Chungdam Studio in mid-April, and we both enjoyed the entire experience very much.

We decided to have our prewedding shots taking in Korea because we both like Korean style and for me, I particularly love the natural make-up and the hair-do. There are plenty of wedding studios in Korea, finally we picked the Chungdam Studio because we were attracted by one of their beautiful flowery backdrop.

After some research, we directly contacted Ms. Jamie Kim (the Studio Manager) instead of booking through the agencies. I think it would be less hassle in terms of liaising in two different lands and most importantly, it would cost much cheaper. Jamie was well versed in English and she was very accommodative and attentive to all our questions (even at late night, she answers your questions on whatsapp/email almost immediately)!

When it came to the actual shooting day, I have to say Jamie and her team really did an excellent job!

Jamie acted as the translator and she generally helped out with the phototaking. She even helped us to capture some behind the scene photos with her mobile phone and sent back to us at that night.

Our makeup artist (sorry I didn't get her name) was as great as expected! Her skills are really good and you will look like Korean in no time!
Mr. Yun was our photographer - and we have to thank him for his patience with us especially me who posed like a robot! Glad to have him to guide us exactly where to stand and how to pose.
Indeed, they both can speak Mandarin, so there were no worries about communication at all. They are very willing to work with couples to meet their needs.

Apart from Jamie, there was another assistant who was constantly helping us to adjust our outfit throughout the day. She was a really caring lady! During the outdoor shoot, she carried our stuff for us and as it was still a bit cold outside, whenever we were not shooting, she quickly rushed to cover me (only wearing a short dress) with a fleece blanket.

When we ended for the day, Jamie even introduced us to the special foods nearby as we told her that we would stay and travel in Seoul on the next few days.

In summary, it was a great experience at a reasonable price. I strongly recommend the Chungdam Studio to couples who are looking for a suitable wedding studio in Korea. You will feel very satisfied with the professionalism and services provided. To see more of their works, please visit their website: www.thechungdamstudio.com or Facebook page: www.facebook.com/thechungdamstudio. Hi becca,

Hi! Just want to share my recent experience of my pre-wedding photoshoot in Seoul 2 months ago. We did some research and decided to go with the Chungdam Studio. Our coordinator was Jamie and she's very professional and very responsive to our questions. The make up artist and camera man are also very experienced and professional. We are very pleased with their selection of wedding gowns, evening dress and tuxedos. We did photoshoot both indoor and outdoor. I love all the settings that they have. It gave me the Korean style that I was looking for. I was given the entire 600+ photos to choose. They look AWESOME. If anyone is interested to have pre-wedding photoshoot in Seoul, you can contact Jamie at flake7@naver.com. Or check out their website www.thechungdamstudio.com.

Seriously i feel skeptical about those who are writing good reviews about Chungdam Studio here, most of them are new to this forum and their only post here is to recommend Chungdam Studio? Seriously?

Hello,

I am here to share my experience with The Chungdam Studio in Korea. My fiance and I signed up Pre-wedding package for both indoor and outdoor after reading a lot of good reviews online. We decided to go for it and took the Chungdam package. Everything went smoothly from the first time we emailed Jamie (flake7@naver.com) and engaged her way back in February. Our photoshoot was in June. She is friendly and good in english and she has a fun team!

We didnt know what to expect and we are glad to have chosen the right studio. Makeup artist made me looks totally like a korean (even my korean col agrees) and I like the natural look she has done for me. Photographer is very professional and knows how to guide us along cos we have prior experience in photoshoot. The whole photoshoot went smoothly and the studio leaves us in awe. Their indoor setting is really awesome. There are like 3 floors with around 6 settings and there is even a rooftop for outdoor feel! Very amazed by that. Very fun group! No

We have just received my wedding album (very efficient) and we are very happy everything turns out good. Cant wait to show it to our guests on our wedding day. Thanks Jamie and her team and we strongly recommend you to take your pre-wedding photograph with Chungdam studio.

Just to share my review about korean photoshoot. Planned for a holiday in april with my gf, and thought of taking our pre-wed shoots.

Was previously recommended by my friend who took their pre wed shots in korea as well. after the many reviews in this forum, decided to go ahead and try out The Chungdam Studio. Contacted Jamie, the manager at the studio.

it was a smooth process, and was glad that the photographer assigned to us was Aiden, who had much experience in photography.

We booked an indoor and outdoor pre wed shoot package, and the price is really worth it if you are already looking at shoots in korea. Book directly with them would save you close to $2k compared to booking through a local agent.
On the day of shoot, we also seen another Singaporean couple that booked directly themselved!

After the shoot, we were busy with our renovation and did not selected the photos, however Jamie was responsible and constantly reminded us to select the photos before they edit it for the album.

Looking forward to the final photos after we confirm the layout in the album.

Should you be interested, do contact Jamie below:
flake7@naver.com www.thechungdamstudio.com

She also has a whatsapp account which makes it much easier for us to coordinate with her.

We also went with Chungdam Studio for our pre-wedding photoshoot.
We were in contact with Jamie mainly via Whatsapp. Unfortunately we did not get to meet her as she was on leave when we had our shoot, but kept in touch with us.
The entire shoot too about 6 hours in total with a break in the middle for lunch. The staff at the studio were very friendly and spoke good English. There were many different sets to choose from (you can see the different sets on their website). Overall, a very positive experience and we cant wait to see the final album.

After seeing a lot of good reviews and recommendations from this thread, we decided to contact Ms. Jamie Kim, the coordinator from The Chungdam Studio via email and whatsapp. Her responds were very prompt and she was very well verse in English. We were offered pretty attractive packages and decided to take up the summer indoor/outdoor promotion.

We were there exactly on time and were greeted by their friendly staff. Right after that, we were scooted off for hair and makeup.
Both makeup artist and hairstylist able to conversed in Mandarin. I get to chose 4 different outfits and a Hanbok outfit, which was a plus point.
The whole entire shoot lasted us about 8 hours. Even though the weather was extremely hot and humid during the outdoor shoot, the staff tried their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible.

Special thanks to Aiden, the photographer, for being very patience and professional with the way he directed our poses, even though we were very awkward. Also to the rest of team for helping to make our photoshoot experience an awesome one.

And most of all to Ms. Jamie for being there throughout the shoot and nice enough to hand us a sneak peek behind the scene pictures and videos. Overall, we had such a great time.

We received out 700+ raw pictures within a week and from there we had to scramble down to 36, for our album. We did have a hard time since all of the pictures looked beautiful. Can't wait for our album.

Anyways, here is the contact for The Chungdam Studio for queries:

Good Luck!

We had a wonderful initial consultation experience with our consultant, Vera-Ann from Ztage Wedding, who was very friendly. At no point during our meeting did I feel like there was any hard-selling or pressured to sign-up for something which I did not want, something which I really appreciated and valued. Our wedding package was customised to our needs and recommendations were made based on the budget we had in mind so we did not end up paying for more than what was necessary.

Prior to the consultation, we didn’t have any idea which studio we wanted to sign up for since we had not really reviewed the pictures other than enjoy them when they were posted up on Facebook so it was a good thing that Ztage Wedding allowed for the flexibility to change the studio selected up until the date for the photoshoot is finalized.

We eventually decided to sign with them on the day itself as we really liked the quality of the pre-wedding photos and we were really pleased with the service we received. The package itself is very comprehensive and everything will be planned and arranged for us which will save us a whole lot of hassle and time.

We’ll be taking our pictures in autumn next year so I’m really looking forward to it now and will share my experience again when I return! Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
