Hi Rojak, I have the same questions as Aquila.. Do you have the answers for that? I'll be gg for the ballroom visit tomorrow, so it would be good to know what the additional perks are! :)

Hi babe, sorry i only saw your message now. The additional perks are not what i requested for, but rather in their so called "promotion" package that they usually will have during the wedding shows. Hope you saw those! :)

Ohoh! anyone here looking at the Tanglin room? My friend recently had a wedding there, and mentioned that the guests seated near the back could not see the screen in front.. think that might be a problem.. not sure if an additional screen and projector can be rented or installed at the back of the long hall.. hmm..

want to know about wedding banquet in the regent hotel

Hi, their service sucks because the salesperson is very pushy, aggressive and looked down on couples with some weird remarks. You need to pay $8K for the down payment which is really alot. The package is quite expensive, and location is not very accessible and the ballroom is pillared, not pillar-less. My suggestion is you should really try visit the actual venue before you decide to confirm this place. Hope this helps. Thanks.

i agree the ballroom at regent is pillared, so that's not a good thing. but that aside, the place is very grand, and regent is quite well known for their elabroate (and nice) decorations as well as good food! if you have a smaller wedding, you get the smaller rooms which do not have pillars, then tt is not a problem anymore. the salesperson varies, the one i met is not that bad. considering what you get for such a quality hotel, regents' prices are very reasonable. location-wise, it's not near an mrt station, but it's near busstops, tanglin mall etc. what's more, st regis is just across the road from regent (so convenience is the same), and yet they charge way higher too!

hi , i recently met this lady ( Larrina) from Regent, she is very helpful and respond promptly. coz i email the hotel that im looking for a ballroom for 300guests, she gave me a call and told me the ballroom min no of tables is 35, i told her that i will arrange my guestlist first n let her know. then few days later, she emailed me asking if i wld want to go down to view the ballroom first...i replied saying i do not haf 35 tables and she proposed alternative solution if im flexible w the dates, i can do a fri dinner with 30 tables.. she's the nicest wedding coordinator so far!
i think regent ballroom is ok as i attended a wedding dinner there last year...deco is really nice & grand, just a couple of pillars in the ballroom, ohya the ballroom is on the first level

lostsheep the deposit will depends on you number of tables la if i am not wrong I paid 20% deposit for mine and the rest will be settled when I check out of the hotel.

they are quite flexible with their arrangement just make sure they understand what you want.

yup, tenshi is right. the deposit depends on the number of tables you have. this you can clarify with your coordinator. there is some flexibility in such things.. so do discuss with them
