Hey neoweddingprep, it took about 5 days for Regent to reply to my email (all other hotels replied the following day).

Right now I'm considering between Grand Hyatt, Regent, Shangri-la and Fullerton. Grand Hyatt's ballrooms are currently undergoing renovation, expected to be completed in April 2014. Packages for the new venues are not out yet, so I'm checking with the rest first.

Regent's package is the most attractive so far, with all the perks that we want given without us asking e.g. free flow beer and wine. For those who are thinking of holding your banquet at Regent, I believe this is the best time to book because they'll be having their bridal showcase on 2 March (you get to choose either $50.00++ discount off per table OR 3 additional perks).

Yes I also did not get any email reply even after a week! But they got back to me after I called them up. Does anyone liased with April or have her as coordinator before? Any comment to share on April as coordinator? Or any good coordinator to recommend? Thanks!

Hi, I attended the wedding show with my fiancé yesterday. The perks were really quite good- choose 3 including free flow wine and beer, extra nights stay etc. i dont really think you needed to barter anymore with the perks given.
The themes they had were really quite lovely as well. They have an amazing dessert tree that one can get for abt 1.2k! My only issue was the quality of the food- I was disappointed that the food at the showcase did not taste good. But a caveat, I'm particular with the quality of food.

Im interested to check out regent hotel for my wedding next year 2014 Mar. Sad that I've missed the wedding show.. Anyone of you knows if they will have any other shows? or if i wait till next yr's show.. will it be too late?

On tanglin room

Need some advices. We are going to held our wedding in march 2014. Went to regent and was impressed in their theme. However, from earlier discussion, it seems that tanglin room seems bit narrow and the decor may be diff.

Any good advice?? :D

A VERY big disappointment with Regent hotel. As a BTB, I will suggest you to re-consider if you want to choose Regent for your wedding banquet.

Hi Linz, can you share your experience about Regent? what was it that made you do disappointed?

I have seen the floorplan for Tanglin room and its rather narrow, tables are all by the two sides of the ballroom, not going to consider regent due to this.

Hi eillyn, thanks for the reply. I agree with you on the narrow march in walkway. Too add, the ceiling is bit low.

Mind share with me where you have chosen instead? So that I can take a look as well. :)
