Hi, I just took pre-wedding photo at "Chungdam studio" on 21st Apr 2016. We had a great time there. Manager, Jamie, helped us a lot. They have "indoor" or "indoor +outdoor" package, and the price is not very expensive. They have chinese or english translator, we dont have to worry about communication.
I really like the make up, not too over.
We were so nervous at the very beginning, but the photographer, assistant made us feel relax, and enjoyable to taking photo.
Besides the prof camera, Jamie used her own smartphone to take some interesting sidelights.

I do highly recommend this studio to all of you!!!!!!

Our experience with The Chungdam Studio (Korea)

We took our pre-wedding photography with The Chungdam Studio two weeks ago. We chose the Indoor + Outdoor (with cherry blossoms!) package. Currently, we are at the photo selection stage for our wedding album.

Overall, the experience has been smooth and pleasant and we are very happy with their service because:

(i) There is no communication issue. Their coordinator, Jamie, is able to converse in English and she is prompt and clear in her replies - from initial enquiry to receipt of deposit to giving directions to the studio, etc, no problem at all. (Chinese translator is also available.)

(ii) Their packages are reasonable and there is no hidden cost.

(iii) The team was friendly and professional and made us felt relaxed with them. They were also attentive to our needs.
- Our photographer, Aiden, was patient in guiding us how to pose and he went all out to capture the best angles/shots for us.
- Our make-up artist/hairstylist did a good job in Korean make-up style which gave us natural glow, and I miss the hairstyles she had created for me (which I am unable to re-create myself..!)
- Special mention must be given to the assistant lady who was with us throughout the session. She was very cheerful and energetic throughout the session. I clumsily and accidentally fell on her while changing (I’m bad with high heels! :p) but there was no complain from her. She really kept our moods high with her humour and encouragement.
- Their other colleagues who were attached to another couple were also friendly towards us.

(iv) Other perks:
- Jamie shared with us a list of recommended eateries to try - from a local's perspective so they are definitely good! She also kindly offered her assistance if we need her during our time in Korea.
- The cute assistant lady helped us to capture photos using our mobile phones so that we could have a first-hand view of ourselves and show the photos to our loved ones before our wedding album is ready!
- Our photographer surprised us with 2 postcard-sized photos at the end of the session as souvenir for us!

Therefore, if U are looking for a dependable Korean studio to take your wedding photos, U may want to consider The Chungdam Studio. For more information, U can visit their website or Facebook, or talk to Jamie:

Pre-wedding in Korea

Just back from pre-wedding shoot with Pium studio 2 weeks ago. So far didn't see anyone comment about Pium studio. I guess I'm the first one here :) The experience was good! The photographer very professional, and I did have a glimpse on the photo taken on his camera, looks super nice! Still waiting to receive the actual photo

Chungdam studio is one of my top choice after seeing the good reviews but I haven decide my studio yet because we went with Louvre Bridal and there are a number of studios we can choose from. All the pictures look great so it is very hard to decide. I am planning next year for the photo shoot so not in hurry to select the studio yet. Anyone can share with me more studio names for me to consider?

Korea Pre-wedding photoshoot review - Mr K Korea Wedding + Show Studio

Ok, I'm back from my photoshoot and here's my post-photoshoot review.

Their service was impeccable, the whole experience was so wonderful and I feel that the price I paid was so worth it! They really took such great care of us and I feel so pampered the whole time there...now I feel like doing another photoshoot keke.

These are the samples of the studio that I chose: Show Studio! They specialise in simple and natural style.
2016 sample: http://mrkwedding.com/cn/bbs/board.php?bo_table=package&wr_id=101&me_code=3010&sca=SEOUL
2015 sample: http://www.mrkwedding.com/en/bbs/board.php?bo_table=package&wr_id=60&me_code=3010&sca=SEOUL

I got all the original high-res photos within one week of shooting and I was really shocked because at first glance I thought they were edited photos...and I was thinking...how can they be so fast?! Then I saw the sheer number (632 photos) and realised they are indeed raw, unedited photos. If you want to know what I mean, see the original unedited photos of one of their clients here. Really look like touched up already right??

So I just sent over the 20 selected photos yesterday for them to photoshop to be put into the album...tough choice to choose only 20...we took an entire weekend. lol ^^

We had mostly indoor shots, also had outdoor shots (cafes, etc) near the studio and by the Hangang. Also had night shots on the rooftop. They set up fairy lights and made the scene really romantic! 73 different scenes in total (I know, because that's how I shortlisted my photos ^^)! The Hangang and night scenes were given to us free of charge too...that came as a really nice surprise!

I think I struck up a reallyyy good friendship with Mr K Wedding because they created a new promotion for Singapore brides that I refer to them from now on...they will provide an additional printed 20p album (unedited, standard 4R size) free with my referral, on top of whatever package you choose. So meaning you get two albums instead of one, and you can choose 40 photos instead of only 20! Do take a look at their website and PM me if you are interested in any of the studios they have ^^

Korea Pre-wedding Photoshoot with The Chungdam Studio

Having taken our wedding shoot with The Chungdam Studio almost two weeks ago, finally had the time to really penned down our thoughts and share our wonderful experience.

First off, we had contacted Jamie probably 5-6 months ago, having read about the reviews/feedback from forums and friends. As what many have already reviewed, The Chungdam Studio packages are really attractive and Jamie has been very detailed and responsive in both whatsapp and email. As we had indicated to Jamie of our intentions to have our photo shoot during the Cherry Blossoms period but yet to firm up our travel dates, Jamie has been very patient and helpful in constantly updating us on their schedule and forecast of the cherry blossoms.

For the wedding shoot, Jamie was our coordinator for the day, together with photographer Mr Kang, a make-up artist and one super:laugh: Ah-jumma who helps out with a whole lot of stuff from carrying props, coats, shoes to adjusting of attires etc. Throughout the whole photoshoot, there was not a single instant of communication breakdown, Jamie speaks English quite well, our photographer speaks little English and the make-up artist speaks Mandarin. Although Mr Kang doesn't speak much English, he was also able to liven the mood and made sure everyone is having a lot of fun and laughter as we worked through the day.

In fact, the whole team is superb and very professional. They are very attentive to details of everything from your expressions, poses, accessories, hair, make-up, gowns & suit.

Within a week, we received the original files of our shoot and they look fantastic. It was really hard work to narrow our selection to send back for editing.

The Chungdam Studio is definitely a great choice for pre-wedding shoot in Korea and I believed many who have signed up with them would agree.

Hi everyone! My fiance and I just came back from Korea. We had our pre-wedding shoot with theChungdam studio.
Their packages are really attractive, reviews/feedback from different forums are quite good. After contacting them to know more about the package, we were satisfied and decided to go ahead. As Spring & Autumn are the 2 popular seasons for pre-wedding photoshoot, you'll have to secure the dates early.

Jamie is our translator for the day; she could speak relatively good English. She's very prompt when it comes to replying whatsapp message and email.
Aiden, the photographer is able to speak English and the 2 makeup artists are able to speak fluent Mandarin. So don't worry about language barrier, they'll assist you as much as they can.

Throughout the shoot, there will be someone who will help you to adjust your attire, making sure everything is alright.
Poses wise, they'll assist you as well.

We were lucky to be able to take photos when the cherry blossom bloomed at it's peak. We were told that if we waited another 2 more days, the flowers will fall off...
At night it can be quite cold. Couples will be required to brave through the cold and finish the remaining photoshoot (about half an hour?).

I just received some of my photos (original files). They look great and we are going to have a hard time choosing the photos for them to edit.

Overall, I'll highly recommend this studio if you ever want to go to Korea for Pre-wedding.

Hi do you mind sharing some of your photos? Raw and edited? I went to their facebook pages and some of the photos does not seem to have the korean "feel". Was wondering cause its pre-edited. TIA!

The Chungdam Studio will not disappoint you with Korean style pre-weddings shoots!

Communication: clear and prompt responses from Jamie from the beginning to the end. There were no hidden fees that some companies tag on to make extra money off of foreign customers. We had a group of four people and Jamie instructed the photographers clearly to take photos of us separately and together. Make up artist and photographer both spoke fluent/native level Chinese. During our conversations, we found out they both studied abroad in china for 4 years!

Service: impeccable service compared to companies in the U.S. This is our 2nd set of "pre-wedding" photoshoot, first one was in the United States. Compared to our experience in the U.S and Korea, CD studio provides high level of customer service. Jamie and the assistant lady were SUPER helpful during our entire shooting. Not only do they pay close attention to our clothing/ hair/ make up, they also made sure we were comfortable during the entire shooting. It was quite chilly the day of our shooting, our assistant lady kept bringing me blanket when the photographer wasn't in action. Since the shoes didn't fit me well, assistant lady brought my Crocs everywhere we went and allowed me to change when we had to walk :) Can't thank her enough!!

Backdrops: we did both indoor and outdoor shooting. It was nice to have photos of Korean old villages and indoor photos :)
If i had to guess, there were bout 20 different indoor backdrops! It'll be hard when we pick out our photos since the backdrops are all different! we have 800+ photos, wayyy more than we expected for one day of shooting :)

attached a raw photo for your reference ^^

We just back from our pre-wedding photo at "Chungdam studio" last month April. We had a great time there. The experience was so wonderful. Jamie from the studio replied very quickly to our queries and helped us a lot before and during the shooting. No worries on the communication as they have chinese or english translator.

I really like the Korean make up. Appreciated for the great works of Jamie and the team. Many thanks to Jamie who used her own smartphone to take some of the photos of us as well.

For those who consider to have their pre-wedding shoot in Korea, highly recommend this studio to all of you!!

My husband and I recently got married and Korea was one of the places that we visited during our honeymoon (April 2016). Although we already took pre-wedding photos in the U.S., I wanted to take some in Korea because they are so well known for their beautiful pre-wedding photos. There were a couple studios that I had researched but ultimately decided to go with Chungdam Studio (www.thechungdamstudio.com). I really liked the photos on their website and was especially interested in the cherry blossom ones they had. I inquired about package options and Jamie was very prompt in her replies. She answered all of my questions very patiently and made the process extremely easy.

Anyway, Lee (Director of Photography) took our pictures last month in Korea. We were lucky enough to be there when the cherry blossom was in bloom and we cannot believe how gorgeous and amazing the photos turned out. Everyone was extremely nice and efficient. I highly recommend Chungdam Studio if you are looking photography services in Korea. They offer both indoor and outdoor packages and are willing to work with couples to meet their needs. Contact Jamie (flake7@naver.com) for package options...you won't be disappointed if you go with their services!

We recently went on a pre-wed shoot cum holiday to Korea and had chosen The Chungdam Studio for our shoot due to the many good reviews we saw here. And true to their reputation, they were indeed as fantastic as what many other couples had shared here.

We had opted for a outdoor and indoor shoot and were lucky enough to meet the full bloom of cherry blossoms at Seoul, Seokchon Lake. And the indoor settings look awesome as well!

Jamie and her team are really caring as they carried our stuff for us and took care of us throughout the shoot. There was lots of fun and laughter along the way and when the weather got cold, the Ajumma (sorry I didn't get her name!) and Jamie would cover me with a fleece blanket in between shots. We were also fortunate that Mr Lee was our photographer for the day and the photos turned out really well!

There is certainly no hard sell or gimmick with the studio as what we would have expected from local companies. They delivered what was promised and more so we would highly highly recommend their services.

Do contact Jamie via her email at flake7@naver.com. To see more of their works, also visit their website at www.thechungdamstudio.com

Had my honeymoon & post-wed shoot in late March 2016. Seen good reviews about Jamie, check their website & fell in love with the studio. Therefore, we decided to go for The Chungdam Studio.

Indeed, Jamie and her team did an excellent job! Ahjumma aka helper made us laugh throughout the shoot. It was fun and a memorable one. Ahjumma and Jamie will take turns to take our behind the scenes using our own phone.

We choose Indoor & Outdoor package in Seoul (about 8 hours include make-up). Best perks of their package is, all unedited photos (about 500) will be returned! Two days later after our shoot, we went back to The Chungdam Studio and choose our photos. Most of the photos turn out to be nice.

There were no hard sell or forced to buy more photos from them. Highly recommended for any btb who wants to take pre-wed shoot in Korea! Mini honeymoon, shopping and take your pre-wed shoot! :)

Hello all :)

my fiancé and I booked a pre-wedding photoshoot in April 2016. It was a one day indoor and outdoor photoshoot (nami island).

It was a truly memorable experience. We were assisted by the coordinator, Ms Jamie Kim, the main photographer, Mr Aiden Park, and an experienced team of makeup artists and outfit helpers.

Although we were nervous at first (as like many other couples we did not have a lot of experience in front of the camera), the photoshoot went smoothly and the staff was experienced in lightening the atmosphere making us feel comfortable posing even in public.

The photoshoot lasted for about 12 hours and by the time we left the studio, it was already almost 9 pm. Even then, the staff did not show any signs for fatigue and assisted us with all our enquires.

We received the original untouched photographs (about 700+) about 10 days later by email. The photos (even though unedited) were great. We are very excited to see the edited photos :D

In summary, it was a great experience at a reasonable price. If anyone is intending on having their pre-wedding photoshoot in Korea, Chungdam Studio is the place to go. We have not regretted our decision since.

For more details, you can view their website at www.thechungdamstudio.com or contact Ms Jamie Kim at flake7@naver.com

We had our pre-wedding shoot with Chungdam Studio in Seoul, it was a one day (8 hours including gown choosing and makeup) indoor and outdoor photoshoot. I was initially concerned if it would be very rushed to decide on the gowns within a short time, but i found gowns i liked within half an hour. The gowns were beautiful and the makeup was good.

We had no problems communicating as our translator, Jamie, followed us throughout the shoot. The ahjumma also ensured i was kept warm with a fleece blanket during our outdoor shoot. The photographer gave us a lot of guidance on how to pose in front of the camera, the whole photoshoot went smoothly. Jamie was also very sweet to help get us some yummy jangmyeon and nnyangmyeon for lunch :)

It was a good experience for us, and we loved it! We got to select our photos just 2 days after our shoot, and best part is we got all our unedited photos back. They are very efficient! We just got to see a draft of our album and must say that they are very professional. The album looks dreamy and we are excited to see how our final album will be like :D Definitely recommend couples considering a Korea photoshoot to approach Chungdam studio.

You can find out more at their website www.thechungdamstudio.com or contact jamie at flake7@naver.com

We had our pre-wedding photoshoot at The Chungdam Studio in Korea last week and we have already received our 900+ photos for selection (which is a very tough process as the unedited ones are looking great already!)

I am glad I made the best choice in contacting Ms Jamie Kim, who is the coordinator and translator for the whole process. She replies promptly in details and is flexible with the packages. We liaised via email and mostly whatsapp. For outdoor shoots, you may be able to request for the location that you want, depending on the seasons. I requested to view the in-house gowns beforehand and she was very kind to send me the photos of the white gowns.

Before the trip, Ms Jamie provided detailed directions to the Studio (It is very accessible from the Chungdam Station) and recommended delicious local cuisine. I was nervous before the shoot but her team made everything stressless and fun! They gave their professional views on the gowns and hairstyle but wouldn't force their opinions on you. The make-up artist is korean but speaks very good mandarin. Her skills are really good and you will look like korean in no time. (My friends and family are in awe of my make over). An ahjumma was always there to ensure that you are in your best for every shot and the plus point is she is very funny and tireless. Mr Aiden was the photographer and he directed every posture and position, without you worrying at all. He is great in making jokes and keeping you in the mood too. They are all very professional and you wouldn't realise 9 hours had just passed!

I strongly recommend The Chungdam Studio and you may view their portfolios on www.thechungdamstudio.com or their FB page. You can contact Ms Jamie at flake7@naver.com for more info.

You will get more perks at a cheaper rate by going to the Studio straight (not going through a 3rd party agency).

Korea photoshoot

I see that there are already many reviews of the happy customers of the chungdam studio. I had my own fantastic experience with Jamie and her team myself who took care of us very well. Our photographer, Kang is a very enthusiastic and entertaining guy who can sing, dance and make jokes to lighten up the tense and awkward feeling of posing in front of the camera.

We bought the indoor and outdoor package. Before the wedding shoot itself, jamie who is our translator and the point of contact, sent some of their wedding gowns via whatsapp for our advanced viewing so the bride can more or less have an idea what kind of gowns to shortlist before seeing the actual ones on the day. The falsies and ampoules are included in the package and there is really no hidden cost. Price is very transparent and they dont push sales as in they don't persuade you to add in more photos like most bridal shops do. I think partly because they have given you all the softcopies so you dont really need to buy additional photos unless you want the album to have more photos.

Our photoshoot last the whole day, from morning to night so for lunch, you can request them to help you buy some food and of course meals are not included in the package so have to reimburse to them. We ate our lunch around 4pm and we were very hungry by then. But the staff also ate theirs at 4pm as well.

For the outdoor photoshoot, the transport is included in the package as well. For us, we went to namsan park for the outdoor shoot. After the entire shoot, they develop two photos for us as souvenirs and it was really sweet and nice of them to do so. Really appreciate that.

We waited for less than a week for the raw photos to be sent to us. It was very fast. They sent us all the photos taken except for those test photos. If you need the photos urgently, you should send them the photos of your choice ASAP so that they can do it for you quickly.

Generally it was a nice experience although it was quite tiring but for the beautiful photos, it was worthwhile. Very good effort by the team. Very professional and fun team.

If you are also considering to do your photoshoot in Korea, you can contact Jamie directly at flake7@naver.com or visit their website at www.thechungdamstudio.com to see their works.
