We just back to SG from Seoul and finished our photoshoot with Chungdam Studio on 16/11.
The experiences was awesome! I'm glad that I've made the decision to go Korea for photoshoot and signed up with Chungdam Studio.
My fiancé and I enjoyed a lot, photographer is professional and patient. Our English coordinator Jamie is friendly and helpful. Before our trip she will update us the weather in Korea and reply our messages promptly.
Dress helper ahjumma took care of us very well and very funny lady which makes us laugh and happy throughout the whole shooting.
During outdoor shoot, she took care of me well by put on the jacket for me after each shoot to make sure I'm not cold.
We select our photo the next day, with 600+ of photos to select only 36 photos are really difficult cause we love all!
In the end, we add on some photos their add on photos are reasonably priced even cheaper than SG bridal studios.
After we came back to SG, Jamie still promptly reply our messages and take our of our requests.

Thank you Chungdam Studio. I personally highly recommend Chungdam Studio for Korea Pre-Wedding Shoot.

My Husband and I decided to take out wedding photos with Chungdam Studio on our 2nd wedding anniversary (25/10). It sounds very funny as we should had taken it before our wedding. But we didn't manage to find the right studio while we saw Chungdam studio portfolio. We are glad and grateful that we choose Chungdam Studio and went to korea for our photoshoot.

Our photographer was funny but professional and patient. My husband and I couldn't stay still and always moving around. But he was willing to make an effort to put things in place. We wanted to catch some
Our coordinator Jamie is very nice and helpful. She works hard to put everything in place for you though she has a few couples on hand as well. She would check with you once in awhile to check if everything is alright with you.
If you have any questions to ask her before going to Korea, she would always reply you promptly.
Ahjumma (Dress helper) was really nice and took care of us well.
During outdoor shoot, she was concerned if I was able to walk properly and making sure that I wouldn't be cold as well.

We selected our photo after I came back from Korea, with 350+ of photos to select only 30 photos.
My package is a bit different from the rest as I had some customisation to it.
After coming back, I really want to take more!!!! Next time i will go with my kids!
The pictures are really nice without much editing.
After we came back to SG, Jamie still promptly reply our messages and take our of our requests.

Thank you Chungdam Studio, Jamie and the rest of the crew. =)
I personally would highly recommend Chungdam Studio for Korea Pre-Wedding Shoot.

Came back from Korea where we had our pre-wedding photoshoot done with The Chungdam Studio. Did some research prior to finalise the package with The Chungdam Studio. Jamie is our coordinator, she is very patient and prompt in her replies. The studio offers professional services, from hairdo, makeup and photography. On the actual day of photoshoot, we have a translator and helper who assist us. We are grateful that we are well taken care of on that day. A million thanks to Jamie, Aiden (photographer), translator and helper, without you, we are not able to capture all the nice pictures (and autumn scenery). You can contact Ms Jamie Kim for details at flake7@naver.com or visit their website http://www.thechungdamstudio.com. Looking forward for the final product. Cheers :)

My partner and I went to Korea for our photoshoot two months back with Chungdam Studio. We booked directly with them as we like the Tuscany theme as well as autumn leaves. I personally like the weather in Korea as well. A deposit via bank transfer is required to confirm booking.

Our photographer is Korean but is able to communicate in Mandarin so the full day process was a breeze. Generally we enjoyed our experience and my partner was happy with the choice of Korean gowns, make up, hairdo and our accessories. We started at 9am, reporting straight to Chungdam studio for gown selection, make up, hairdo etc. Thankfully the weather was good and there was no rain. We managed to wrap up the shoot by 6+pm due to evening shot. It could've ended earlier if not for outdoor venue being occupied by Korea TV station for drama filming.

We saw the raw photos as well as the retouched photos and are happy with them. Waiting for the final album to be shipped to us!

Jamie is the coordinator for all overseas booking so she was the one who made all the arrangements for us. You can email her at flake7@naver.com as she speaks English. Their website is www.thechungdamstudio.com.

My partner and I has decided to take our bridal photo shot at Korea and been sourcing around for reliable bridal studio over there.
We do not want to go through Singapore to engage the bridal studio over there as we heard the price will be more expensive (as Singapore bridal shop will mark up). My partner's friend then recommended her to Chungdam Studio as her brother had engaged their services a few years back and found it very good.
We then start to source around for reviews in the Internet and found many good and positive reviews on Chungdam.

The reviews are indeed true and we have greatly enjoyed our wedding photo shot experience at Korea. The entire process from initial engagement with Jamie (the English Coordinator from Chungdam Studio), going through the package, signing the package, transferring the deposit, gown and suit selection, actual photo shoot, selection of photos, etc. was amazingly smooth, unforgettable and an enjoyable one. Initially, I was quite worried personally and has some reserve since it was a overseas engagement after all, and we do not have the chance to visit the shop or the shop staff before signing up for the package.
But Jamie's great professionalism, patience and prompt service overcome all these concerns eventually and proved that we have made a right choice.

Our actual day shot was during autumn season (0-10 degree) and it was freezing cold. But Jamie and her crew was super attentive and really go through the extra mile to ensure we are comfortable and well taken care of.

The cameraman assigned to us was Mr Kim and he can really take very great shots (the final products proved it all!).
Mr Kim was very friendly, patient and humorous and we felt very comfortable with him.

The assistant Ajuma was a very out-going, caring and helpful person too. I really thanks her for taking such good care of my wife in this amazingly cold weather during our actual day shooting.

Not to mention that I am also greatly amazed by Chungdam indoor studio and there are different varies themes/backdrops for you to choose from. The only problem here is all the themes are so nice and we really struggled hard to finalize our selection :p

Likewise, they really have a wide range of wedding gown and mens' suit for us to choose from. All are very nice and it's only a matter of finding the best one. My wife is so happy with all her gowns and when she is back, she can't find one in Singapore that can come close for her actual day. Lol.

We are now in the midst of reviewing the touch up photos (soft copy) with Jamie and she has been very prompt and helpful in helping us to make sure we are truly satisfied with the final product.

To those couples who are sourcing for bridal studio in Korea, you can rest assured and go ahead to try out Chungdam Studio. You will not regret.

You may contact Jamie at:

Email: flake7@naver.com
Website: www.thechungdamstudio.com

Hope this reviews can help more couples in their selection and hope they will be satisfied and have an enjoyable experience like us too :)

Hey miss victoria! Yeah budget is reasonable.
What is important also they don't hard sell and are honest. Don't have any so call 'additional charges'.

I think I forgot to write which agent..
Kohit Wedding
You can go check their website or facebook them
Their website: www.kohitwedding.com
Facebook @ kohitwedding

Glad that someone mentioned Kohit Wedding amidst all these fake reviews for Chungdam Studio. Like I mentioned before, pages and pages of reviews with the same templete and posted by 'people' with only 1 or 2 posts made in this forum are definitely red flags for me and Chungdam Studio will be the last studio that I'll ever contact (sorry, all the fake advertising is really putting me off even if the studio is that good).

Anyway, just to share my own experience sourcing for a good studio for my pre-wedding shoot in Korea, and I've finally done the shoot yesterday! It was a good experience so i'll post my journey here, for those lucky ones who can sieve out the right info from the fake reviews, good for you and good luck to you!

Do note that my packages quoted is 1k more expensive than normal Korea package as I requested the studios to bring me to the real snow instead of studio shoots with snow backdrop. Most normal packages I enquired are at least 1k less without the special request.
Short-listing the coordinating company and studio...

(Ido Wedding and OneThreeOneFour)
I thought Ido wedding had quite a lot of good reviews and thus that was the first 'studio' (strictly speaking, they are more like a middle man between us and the Korean studios) we contacted but the Korean lady we met up to discuss appeared quite aloof (not sure if its lost in translation?) and the price was simply too steep. Initially I thought that it will be safer to contact a company based in Singapore to help us look for a studio as we did not know how to communicate with the Korean studios but I realised they are really charging a premium price. Both Ido Wedding and OneThreeOneFour quoted us almost 4k as the main requirement for our shoot is to capture snow scenes (we really love snow!) and they had offered to bring out us out of Seoul area to Gang-won province or a ski resort to capture heavy snowfall. We felt that 4K just for pre-wedding photo shoot was really too steep so we decided to consider other ways to do it.

(Hello Muse and Mr K Korea Wedding)

The next few options were explored and I believe they were companies with interpreters who can help us coordinate between the Korea studios, that's a really good options as we can contact the Korean studios without speaking the language, plus the price is cheaper too. I contacted the lady from Mr K Korea Wedding through wechat and honestly she was really nice, she suggested taking photos at Nami Island while the person who replied me from Hello Muse suggested Dosan Park. However, they kept emphasizing that snowfall cannot be predicted so there was a risk of traveling all the way there with no snow or only a very thin layer of snow on the ground. December is still early winter and we decided that we couldnt afford to risk it, the effects will be quite different if its just a thin layer of snow on the ground, so going to a ski resort is preferred. (I should be very glad we did not risk it as Seoul is seriously not as cold as Hokkaido since we arrived, more like early spring weather, therefore no snow at Nami Island at all even though the lady thought that mid-December should be good enough)

Another coordinator that I randomly found on facebook replied me:
您好。。。

Finally... Kohit Wedding!!
I forgot where I chanced upon good reviews of Kohit Wedding (I contacted almost every sources I can find to ask about taking photo in the snow) but I felt really lucky I found them. They are not as well known as some other established companies as I found out later that they are mainly ran by a couple plus two other part timers so its considered a small budding company. I kept googling winter pre-wedding photos and only two Korean studios had the images of what we had in mind (Roi Studio and Sum Studio), I was really happy when these two studios were in their list of studios available and was pleasantly surprised when they quoted a much cheaper price (about 3.6K SGD) than others. On top of that, they were able to include both outdoor and indoor shoots for us at that price, so it was indeed much cheaper than what others had quoted. The package is very good as we can choose 30 pictures for the album instead of the normal 20 pages, plus the blown up framed photo that will be sent to us through EMS courier. They also thrown in freebies like a behind-the-scene video, I realised that it was taken by David from Kohit during the shoot but the quality is not too bad from the YouTube videos uploaded. Most importantly.. since its free, why not? I was glad that the my search for the studio was finally over when I made the booking with Kohit somewhere in Oct and paid 20% to them through PayPal. The only disadvantage was that the PayPal fees of 4% was eventually included but now that the shoot was over, I still feel that its all worth the price and effort.

I would also recommend The Chungdam Studio.

My sister & my now brother-in-law plus one of my best friend & her husband had their pre wedding photo done there. And of course, myself and my finance. Jamie is a very nice and friendly lady fluent in korea and english. She made sure everything was ok and smooth for my prior to my arrival (since I was flying over from Canada). There was other helper lady and she was also very nice. Her humour made the environment less tense for me since people tend to be very nervous for photo shooting, including myself. I just received copies of my photos and they were very professionally done. Check out their website or contact Jamie. She is quick and responsive to all questions.

You can contact Jamie at flake7@naver.com
There website is www.thechungdamstudio.com

Hi Reverie,

What makes you feel and think that those reviews are fake? Have you taken some initiatives to view the wedding photos result at their website? They even have Facebook page if you wish to explore further. Let's just be open minded and not making decision based on baseless assumptions.
Me? I personally contacted Chungdam Studio and immediately booked a package with them without hesitation. Chungdam studio provided me with the top of the world service - EG : They paid attention to my every requests, my hairdo, sheltering me from the cold weather (photoshooting was done in 6 degress celcius with mild wind temperature), and many more warm gestures that you can ever imagine.
I will definitely go back to them if were given another chance in future to do so, maybe a family portrait with natural korea view, or even anniversarry wedding.
You should at least given them a chance, do some research, study and gather the necessary details to support your findings.

I believe there are many couples out there who would agree with me on this anytime. (of course for those who've taken their photo with Chungdam)

I wish you all the best in finding what suits you the most, but please dont be annoyed with this post as well. At least this is not a fake review tho. It will definitely take more time to find the best thing, but hey, just enjoy the whole ride and experience.

Hi Reverie,

I'm not sure why u mentioned that Chungdam studio reviews are all fake but I am just here to tell you something, you only judge people when you are aware and has been a customer before. Clearly you ain't.

I have the right to comment because I am a customer to Chungdam and will be willing to share my photos with anyone of you as long as u PM me. I can even send u non-photoshop version to show you how good are the raw photos. The quality is there and it cannot be denied.

As for the staff, they are friendly and helpful during and after the photoshoot. I went there during winter time (0 degC) and we did not catch any cold with those gowns and suits because the staff took good care of us and are all busy covering us with blankets, the memories are so precious that I can still rmb how the whole situation was like.

Pictures speak louder than words and I am confident with the pictures Chungdam took.

I know it's stressful as a bride to be. Chill and be kind and God will be kind to you too. Let me know if any of you are interested in the photos. Cheers!

Hi reverie,
How do u know all the reviews are 90% fake? I found out chungdam studio from the thread here and personally contacted Jamie for my shoot.
She's been very prompt in her reply and she's been very helpful along the way.
Due to personal reasons, I had to change dates for my shoot and she is also very accommodating.
On the shoot day, Jamie and her team is so helpful to me and my hubby and so patient to us as we had zero experience with photo shoot.
After the shoot we received our raw photos very quick and and our album delivered promptly.

I am very happy with my photos and I can share my photos.
It is a very pleasant experience with chungdam studio.

If you wanna see our actual day photo you can just let me know. You can also look up her facebook to see other couples who did their photoshoot with chungdam studio. On the day of my photoshoot, there was afew other couples. One of which whom we talked to is from hong kong. The photos outcome is really not bad and the price is reasonable considering done in korea. only thing is you need to pay for the flight. Take it as going for a holiday i guess. Cheers!

Hi reverie,

I have no idea what is your intention by reply such a review. Jamie and her teammates work so hard for giving us best memories in prewedding shoot. However I don't blame you for this, you are welcome to leave your contact in pm , so that I could show you my prewedding photo and share my experience, and invite you to my wedding dinner , if you still think my review is fake. Taking pre wedding in Korea with Chung Dam is one of the best choice I ever made in my wedding Plan.

Thanks again to Chungdam studio, cheers

Real Chungdam Customer Here!!!

Hi Reverie,

I wonder what are your basis of saying that all great reviews for Chungdam is fake. I am a real Chungdam customer and would like to clarify that the reason why I bother to sign up as a member to post a positive review was because I was truly impressed and satisfied with the great service and experience that my fiance and I had last Sep. And I had known about Chungdam only thru the reviews here which I believe are real customers with real feedback.

Once again, I would like to strongly recommend Chungdam to all the BTBs here! Even if I would to choose again, I will definitely choose Chungdam given the great feedback from my own friends who saw the physical photographs!

Hi Reverie

Instead of feeling annoyed, have you tried contacting the studio in charge to get more information?

To be frank, i was doubtful in the first place too but after contacting Jamie she provided me with all the information and did not rush me to sign packages with them.

I never regret signing up with them, the photos turn out really well and all the feedbacks from friends are all positive.

If you would like, just PM me. I will share all my experiences with you and show you some wedding photos that i took.

Melody :)

Hi Reverie,

I believe all customer that posted here mean what they post. I believe all of us only post what we really feel and also what we really want to share with others. If you think 90% are fake, mean you are trying to say that 90% of the people that comment are too free and they only bullshit ? Me too as their customer is very pleased with their services. All the staffs are very friendly too and there will be someone to translate if you do not understand Korean. Intro by my Cousin to shoot in Korea which I really never regret. We even compared other studio in Singapore and the price chungdam quote to us is really very reasonable. No hidden cost too and Jamie is very prompt in our enquires. Highly recommended if you would like to have your pre-wedding shoot in Korea!
